"But the real diamond in the rough, you might be surprised to learn, is Elijah Wood. Beneath Patrick’s boyish countenance, Wood conjures up a whole haunting mess of adolescent insecurity and emotion, allowing his on-screen alter ego the freedom to be both sinister and heartbreaking at the same time. The full impact of Wood’s performance doesn’t sink in right away, and whether it’s ultimately the work of a skilled actor or a skilled casting director is hard to say. Those who spend time trying to figure it out, however, will miss the point; the wisest course of action is just to stop caring and appreciate it as the highly effective performance that it is."

Thankyou grievous_angel for pointing this out. Just hope its been read by those in a certain quarter who, in a pathetic attempt to draw attention to themselves, have been trying to bash Elijah's acting. Trying - and of course failing - unless you count "it sucks" as constructive criticism. Sorry - just needed to get that off my chest.

And I've heard that the wee one is now in London - so near and yet so far.

Wow...someone finally "gets it" re: Elijah's acting skills.

Do you know where this review is from?

Oh Pauline - he is here already?! Yes - so unattainable ...

If you see a paper or magazine with anything about him, could you let me know the same day, if you can? If it is a paper, that is! I will do the same for you if I happen to see anything ...

Couldn't we get together and invite him over for dinner? and a luscious dessert?

I read on someone's LJ that they'd heard he was here now - and apparently he's filming at West Ham Football Stadium on Saturday! I'm just hoping he'll be allowed a weekend off to go to CM5. I'll let you know if I see anything in the papers.

I'll probably only go if I know that Lij is going - I'm getting a bit worried because with CM4 it was confirmed two months ahead that he would be attending but as yet there's been nothing and its not long now. It starts 30th April and its at the same place in Milton Keynes.

Hmm, you would think they would have his name up by now if he is going.

Hope you hear something soon.

The little, understated things he does to develop a character leave me shaking my head in wonder.

CM5? I'd be amazed.
