The One Husband found this in Mojo magazine:

"The Best Thing I've Heard All Year
Elijah Wood : Bambi-eyed actor and Mojo reader

'Sons and Daughters - The Repulsion Box. Its embarrassing but I found out about it in the Playlist in Mojo. I believe the track was Ramalama and your description made it sound so f*ing awesome. It evokes old Americana and its got a lot of energy but doesn't necessarily sound like anything else from the Glasgow music scene. Another record I like from this year is Langhorne Slim's When the Sun's Gone Down (Narnack) - he's just a great songwriter. The last song on the record, I Love to Dance, sounds like a f*ing classic. It's almost like Van Morrison, but with a banjo, and I tend to love anything with a banjo.

For ages I was looking for a version of that old '50s tune, Tonight You Belong To Me, that Steve Martin sings in The Jerk and I found a version from 1956 by Patience and Prudence, these two girls who recorded for Liberty Records in the '50s and they were just 11 and 14! You'll love it.'

See the miniature Mojo fan in EII in cinemas now."

I'm old enough to remember that Patience and Prudence song!! *blushes*

Back to work!!

Well, at least they didn't call him Frodo!

Makes me kinda wish I hadn't given up the banjo all those years ago!

Make me #3 who remembers Patience and Prudence.

I agree....thank God they didn't call him Frodo. :>D

I've always wanted to play the banjo.....wonder if I still could. Never to old to learn new tricks....heh, heh.

Why oh why do these people always make some remark about his size - I'm sure he must hate it. Its not as if he's abnormally short or anything, there are plenty of men much shorter than him. I think its just plain rude:(

Hello to all here!
There, in Filter mag(Czech music/movie mag),in Hooligans review (very positive),Elijah was named "dwarfish", what made me furios a little bit.
Really nothing for me-I´m quite tall :o-((
I´ve got mp3 for Christmas, but I do not know any (except Oldfield)from his fav music!
I listen just now Coldplay (rarities), Springsteen (Devil&Dust),Kasabian and Alanis Morrisset.
Bye, Allie

How rude of them to say that Allie - as I said above, there's nothing abnormal about 5'6" - lots of men are shorter than that.

I need to get something before I can use my ipod properly - a sort of card, because I don't have a USB2 port on my computer. Very technical!! I'm looking forward to being able to load all my favourites on it:)
