I never drink iced tea, I may have tried it in the dim & distant past but can't remember it. When I say 'normal tea' I mean the stuff most of us in the UK drink several times a day, which I think is China tea. I intend to have plenty of that over the holiday:)
At least you passed the test!!! *sighs at the seeming need for parallel parking*
Oreos are biscuits in the US and they are sweet and cloying, clump in your mouth and have no taste at all. I was given some in the US and did a swap with some Cadbury's biscuits 'nope -THESE are biscuits' I've converted many a US citizen to decent biscuits!
I have to say I was very unimpressed by the biscuits in the US - and the chocolate. You probably know that they have stuff over there that looks like Cadburys chocolate - its called Cadburys, has the same wrapper etc - but it tastes completely different!! I feel so sorry for the US and the rest of the world - to be deprived of genuine Cadburys chocolate is a terrible thing:(
And my very best wishes to you and yours for a Happy Christmas, too.
I saw "The Chronicles of Narnia" this afternoon. Awesome movie in every possible way. And a gorgeous soundtrack....another one I must get. Are you still getting the complete LOTR soundtrack set for Christmas? I hope so.
Its not that I'm afraid of the process - its just that I worry people will think I'm silly having a tattoo at my age. I wish now I'd had one done at the place in Wellington where the Fellowship had theirs done. They're used to LOTR fans of all ages!! I remember seeing one of your tats, round your ankle I believe.
I don't like having my birthday on Christmas Day - it just gets eclipsed by Christmas, I even forget about it myself for most of the day (except when I get my pressies!!). I wonder if your husband feels the same.
I got my first tattoo this year at the age of 52! So you go ahead, next time you're in NZ, go to Roger's on Cuba Street in Wellington :) They'll make you so welcome and show you Lij's pic on the wall...
Think I'll have to have a Frodo one next time on the other arm ;) If you do the Red Carpet tour in August 2007 we could go together LOL
I have the same "nine" Fellowship tattoo that Elijah and the others got in NZ. The calligrapher who did the original emailed the design to me. It didn't hurt at all.....really. It just stung a little bit, but not at all bad.
I can see why people want more than one. What are the "two Frodo tats" that you have? Here's mine.
Its amazing the calligrapher sent you the design! How cool is that?!
I actually have three Tolkien tattoos. One on my ankle is the "JRRT" rune and on the other is "Frodo" and "Samwise" written in Quenya linked together with elvish ivy and then on the top of my foot (a place that really hurt!) is written "Frodo Lives" in Middle Earth script.
Ouch! Yes, I'll bet the tattoo on the top of your foot did hurt. I recall Billy and Sean said getting theirs just under the ankle bone hurt a lot. The tattoo artist told me that where I got mine was one of the least painful places to get a tattoo. I didn't want it where Elijah's is because of how much he said it had hurt. 8-O
Both Elijah and Sean have seen my tattoos. When Sean saw my "Frodo Lives" he said "Wow, That must have hurt!" I replied "It was'nt that bad! Didn't you get one on your foot?" He said "Yes, I did and it HURT! You are braver than I am." (((lol)))
